How to Launch this Course

This course is delivered to you on a CD-ROM. To launch the CD, insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive. This CD is configured to "auto-run" on a Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/2003 computer. More specifically, after you insert the CD, it will automatically run Internet Explorer and open the course's home page ("index.htm").

If your computer runs on a different platform (e.g., Macintosh, Windows 95/NT4, Linux/Unix), or if you desire to use a different browser than Internet Explorer, the auto-run feature won't work for you. What you need to do is manually open your browser to the file named "index.htm" located on the CD.

After you launch the course, you may at times need to stop working on the course or close the browser. To resume, you can either re-insert the CD to take advantage of the auto-run feature, or manually start the course yourself. To manually start the course, follow the instructions below:

  1. The CD should be in the CD-ROM drive.
  2. Start Windows Explorer.
  3. Open the CD-ROM by clicking the CD-ROM drive letter.
  4. Locate the file named "index.htm" on the CD-ROM drive, and double click it.

We recommend a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels (minimum 800 x 600). If you are using 800 x 600, please make sure that you maximize your browser, and set your Internet Explorer to View/Full Screen (click function key F11).
