The Forum was held in Garissa, Kenya, from 20-23 June 2006. It was hosted by the Kenyan Ministry of Education and UNICEF, and funded by the Commonwealth of Learning and the Commonwealth Secretariat. The objectives of the Forum were to share experiences and best practices, create linkages and encourage collaboration in order to make education more accessible to nomadic communities. The Forum's five main sessions, which included presentations and group discussions, were Ensuring Basic Education for All, Girls and Women, Teacher/Facilitator Training, Skills Training and Government Policy.

Distance Education in Small States, 2000: Conference proceedings. The University of the West Indies Distance Education Centre (UWIDEC) organised an international conference on Distance Education in Small States, held on 27 - 28 July 2000 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The meeting addressed both in-country programmes as well as collaboration among states. The proceedings are available for download in PDF format, either by section/paper or as a complete file. ET2000 Conference Papers. Educational Technology 2000: A Global Vision for Open and Distance Learning, held in August 1996, was an opportunity for nearly 200 educators and technologists from 38 countries to gather in Singapore to share, discuss and debate many of the important issues in open and distance learning. This collection of keynote addresses and conference papers is rich in diversity, containing thoughtful analyses and challenges for the future. (387 pages; out of print, no longer available).
TEL-isphere 99 Papers. The Caribbean & Technology-Enhanced Learning. A 1999 conference of leading educators and technology professionals to identify methods in which technology can enhance all forms of education and training. The programme focussed on the use of communications and information technologies and their potential to enhance learning experiences through helping students become active participants in the educational process.
