Isabel Youth Learning Network

The Isabel Learning Network is a network of eight community FM radio stations across Isabel Province, Solomon Islands. The network was established in 2006 in order to support growing governance institutions with improved two-way communications and flow of information.

The mission of the Network is to

  • be the voice of Isabel through a strong network of  stations around the province;
  • be popular, entertaining, informative and educational;
  • encourage the empowerment of women, youth and the community, and strengthen the tripod system of governance (government, church and chiefs); and
  • to produce and broadcast participatory content on the core themes of:
    • gender
    • environment
    • health
    • youth/children
    • governance/culture/human rights
