News Feeds
UPDATE (8 March 2013)
The news feed aggregation technique used in gathering and presenting COL's News Service/Feeds has become unviable by now. We are currently working on an alternative method.
You are invited to direct your country-news related queries to irc@col.org in the meantime.
We thank you for your understanding.

LEARNING FOR DEVELOPMENT NEWS FEEDS:
COL's news feeds on open and distance learning are RSS feeds that aggregate and filter content from reliable web sources selected by COL.
These fully automated RSS feeds – see various topics below and to the left, including our main Learning for Development news feed page – use "Yahoo Pipes" and "Google News", which enable us to combine multiple RSS feeds, filtered by keywords, and format the results into a single output. They are not otherwise vetted by human intervention. Viewing the RRS feed results requires later versions of Firefox or Internet Explorer/ Internet Explorer plug-ins. Please click on this link if you have difficulties viewing the news feeds.
To receive a weekly email highlighting a selection of interesting articles from COL, please send a request by email to COL Information Resource Centre.
The feeds that we have created have been filtered to remove articles after three days. However, because there are differences in how frequently the various feeds are updated (some daily, others weekly and some even monthly) articles from some feeds can remain appearing for longer than three days. If you wish alternative settings and/or personal access, you can subscribe directly to the RSS feed and choose one of the many options that will allow you to control what items you see and when you see them.
Send feedback to COL Information Resource Centre.
