Are you looking for a way to directly engage with high-level educational leaders in your country or region?
At 9 am PST (UTC-8) on 3 February 2026, COL will bring together seven educational leaders from around the Commonwealth for an online event, Meet the Leaders Webinar: STEAM education policy and practice across the Commonwealth.
Focusing on the interplay between pedagogical and digital competencies within STEAM teachers’ communities of practice, participants will get the opportunity to engage directly with a CEO, Registrar, or Vice-Chancellor on localised STEAM policies and practices.
With guest speakers from Jamaica, Uganda, Belize, Botswana and South Africa, participants will gain regionally relevant insights and learn from international perspectives on topics such as strengthening active engagement in STEAM for women and boys, building collaborative STEAM networks, scaling the integration of virtual labs in schools, the added value of “A” in STEAM, and beyond.
The discussion will be facilitated by Anne-Marie Scott, Vice-President, Commonwealth of Learning, who will be joined by:
- Dr Winsome Gordo, CEO, Jamaica Teaching Council (JTC)
- Dr Betty Ezati, Vice-Chancellor, Uganda National Institute for Teacher Education (UNITE)
