COL’s knowledge management framework emphasises the importance of both people and processes. In addition to providing overall support to COL, the Knowledge Management and Technology Service promotes global discussions, models of best practice and technology innovations.

Among Knowledge Management and Technology’s areas of focus are:

  • Engaging in research and analyses of changes in learning technology and build models contributing to COL’s efforts to be a thought-leader.
  • Providing state-of-the-art services to staff and partners in an affordable and sustainable way.
  • Maintaining a variety of information services for the public (Open Access repository for COL publications, daily and weekly news digests).
  • Building innovations in mobile and learning technologies, e.g. Aptus (offline) and MOOCs for Development (online).
