Togo became a member of the Commonwealth on 25 June 2022 following approval from Commonwealth leaders during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Kigali, Rwanda. COL’s work in Togo is developing but there has been some initial work with open schooling, higher education, teacher education and skills development. Togo benefits from programmes offered by the Regional Training and Research Institute for Distance and Open Learning, COL’s regional centre.
