COL, International Labour Organisation (ILO) and Commonwealth Centre for Connected Learning (3CL), Malta have partnered to foster lifelong learning and promote skills development via digital technologies. The focus is on countries in Africa, as well as the small states (with a population of 1.5 million or less).

This new partnership will focus on sharing knowledge and expertise in educational technology, online and distance learning, the digitalisation of skills development, and technical, vocational education and training. The goal is to use the potential of technology to improve social inclusion and access to learning for employability.

‘Partnerships and regional cooperation are fundamental to accelerating progress for sustainable development’ said Professor Asha Kanwar, COL President and CEO. ‘The new partnership with ILO and 3CL will serve to enable greater collaboration on regional and global issues, and promote livelihoods for all.’
