Technology-enabled learning MOOC launches with more than 3,000 learners

A massive open online course (MOOC), offered jointly by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and Athabasca University, launches today with more than 3,000 learners registered. Introduction to Technology-Enabled Learning is designed for teachers in secondary education, post-secondary education and vocational education. This is the second offering of the course.

Registered learners come from 82 countries, including 46 Commonwealth countries, with Rwanda, Bangladesh, India, Barbados and Mauritius having the largest number of registrants.

The online course will run over a five-week period and require approximately three to five hours of time per week. It offers flexible options for learning the content to accommodate teachers’ busy schedules.
