Find out and join us at our upcoming webinar, Best practices for AI-enabled OER in Nigerian higher education. A feature presentation by Professor Adenike Modinah Oladayo Abdul Raheem, Director of the Centre for Open and Distance Learning at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, will examine the opportunities and tensions emerging at the intersection of AI and OER, including key issues such as equity, digital readiness, sustainability, and AI ethics.

Drawing on perspectives from educators, students, and other stakeholders, the session highlights best practices for strengthening policy, building staff capacity, and fostering regional collaboration to support inclusive OER across West Africa. It is the second event in our returning webinar series on OER practices in West Africa.

Speaker Profile

Professor Adenike Modinah Oladayo Abdul Raheem is the first female Professor of Chemistry at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and a distinguished scholar in Physical and Environmental Chemistry. She currently serves as both Head of the Department of Chemistry and Director of the Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL), roles she has jointly held since 2024. With over 45 peer-reviewed publications, international fellowships, and extensive postgraduate supervision, she has advanced research in environmental geochemistry, sustainable science, and physical chemistry. Beyond her scientific contributions, Professor Abdul Raheem has played a leading role in strengthening Open and Distance Learning in West Africa.
