Mr Gopesh Tewari joined the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) as Adviser: Skills in July 2026. He brings over two decades of experience working on diverse aspects of skills-related programming, both in India and internationally, including other South Asian countries, Africa, and Latin America.
Before joining COL, he worked with the International Solar Alliance (ISA), the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) centres, as well as private sector and civil society organisations, leading large, multi-country programmes in education, skills, technology-enabled learning, digital transformation and capacity development in many countries across the Global South. Gopesh also brings extensive experience in strategic planning, partnership-building, resource mobilisation, and advocacy while working with governments, multilateral agencies, academia, and civil society to strengthen skilling and lifelong learning systems.
He holds a Master of Information Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering, along with diplomas and certificates across other domains.
