Adviser: Teacher Education
Dr Betty Obura Ogange joined COL on 1 June 2017 as Adviser: Teacher Education. Before this appointment, she was the Director of the eCampus of Maseno University in Kenya where she worked with a team of technical and pedagogy experts to establish a virtual campus offering eLearning courses to both on-campus and off-campus students.
Dr Ogange has been working in the area of teacher education and information and communications technology (ICT) for over 10 years as an academic, researcher and senior manager. She has also undertaken several assignments as a consultant and adviser in ICT in education for teacher capacity development projects funded by various international organisations and development agencies.
She holds a PhD in ICT in Education from The Open University UK, a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Lancaster University, UK, and a Master of Science in Computer-Based Information Systems from Sunderland University, UK. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and Bachelor of Arts degree from Egerton University, Kenya.
