COL has produced the latest issue of its Journal of Learning for Development (JL4D) featuring a wide range of articles, case studies and book reviews on technology-enabled learning (TEL). Major highlights include an editorial penned by Professor Santosh Panda, Indira Gandhi National Open University, and an invited article from Professor Lani Gunawardena, the University of New Mexico, on culturally sensitive online learning communities. Other contributions span topics from tools and strategies for delivering MOOCs to promoting youth employment through ICT, and much more. Several of these articles are based on papers presented at the Ninth Pan-Commonwealth Forum (PCF9) in Edinburgh in September 2019.

“The March 2020 issue articulates the need for further research and development on TEL, and will be highly useful for teachers, trainers, education managers and community leaders across the globe,” notes Professor Panda, who assumed the role of JL4D chief editor earlier this year.

Since 2014, JL4D has been providing a forum for the publication of research with a focus on innovation in learning, in particular but not exclusively open and distance learning, and its contribution to development. Content includes interventions that change social and/or economic relations, especially in terms of improving equity.
