VUSSC Voices, a webinar series highlighting expert voices from COL’s Virtual University for Small States of the Commonwealth (VUSSC) network, returns with its tenth webinar on advancing ODL through policy, practice and capacity building. The series expands and strengthens alliances among VUSSC stakeholders, facilitates knowledge sharing and responses to shared challenges through Open and Distance Learning, and encourages collaboration among the small states of the Commonwealth. 

This online session will be chaired by Dr Schontal Moore, Adviser: VUSSC at COL, and Dr Hermancia Eugene-Zamore, Dean of Academic Affairs at Dominica State College, will present on “Advancing Online Learning at Dominica State College (DSC): Policy, Practice and Faculty Development.

 Speaker Profile: 

Dr Hermancia Eugene-Zamore is an educator and scientist with a PhD in Molecular Virology and Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh (2012). She serves as a Biology Lecturer and Dean of Academic Affairs at Dominica State College (DSC), where she provides academic leadership in quality assurance, curriculum development, and institutional advancement. Dr Eugene-Zamore has played a key role in advancing online and blended learning at DSC through eLearning policy development and faculty training in online course design and delivery. Her work emphasizes aligning policy with practice to support sustainable, student-centred, and high-quality digital learning. She also supports regional collaboration and innovation in higher education.
