Most students that find themselves learning out of the classroom during school closures must rely on the support of parents and siblings to progress their learning. Under the Parental Learning for Uninterrupted Schooling (PLUS) framework, COL works with partners such as government agencies, schools and civil society organisations to engage and empower parents, and facilitate teacher-parent collaboration to improve learning outcomes among children, especially in marginalised communities.
The Teacher Network for Girls Education (TEN-G), on the other hand, provides a platform for female teachers to use technology for continued learning and learner support for girls in rural areas during the COVID-19 pandemic or other such natural calamities, while carrying out community dialogue and advocacy for girls’ education.
